I’m a psychotherapist and writer. I have a private practice in London and also work in the charity sector.
My background is in journalism. I’ve worked as an editor on magazines, broadsheet newspapers and in digital media. I’ve also worked as a university lecturer in journalism.
I’ve written for a diverse range of titles in the UK and internationally, e.g. The Guardian and The Observer, The Times, The Independent, Granta, VOGUE, ELLE, GQ, Esquire and Tortoise. My ‘beat’ is long-form, investigative writing on subjects relating to psychology and health.
I’m interviewed regularly in the media, e.g. for: BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour; The Today Programme; Good Morning Britain; The Observer Magazine; The Times Magazine; Grazia; ELLE.
I’m the author of two non-fiction books: Anxiety for Beginners (A Personal Investigation), published by Bluebird (2016) and Hormonal: A Conversation About Women’s Bodies, Mental Health and Why We Need to Be Heard, published by Virago (2019).
I’m represented by Jessica Woollard at David Higham Associates.
