Eleanor has written for The Guardian, The Observer, The Times, The Independent, ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, GQ, i-D, VICE, WIRED, The Gentlewoman, BuzzFeed, The Believer, The New York Times and more.
Her first book, Anxiety for Beginners: A Personal Investigation was published by Bluebird (Pan Macmillan) in May 2016. Her second, Hormonal: A Conversation About Women’s Bodies, Mental Health and Why We Need to Be Heard, was published by Virago in July 2019; in the US, Seal Press (Little, Brown) published the book as Hysterical: Why We Need to Talk About Women, Hormones and Mental Health in August 2019. Hormonal is released in paperback on July 2nd 2020.
After Anxiety for Beginners was published, Eleanor completed an MSc in Psychology and is now training as a psychologist. She is also working on a third non-fiction book, Maps of Desire (Atlantic Books, January 2022), exploring the diversity of female desire.
